IconInc at the Edge, Leeds
The Project
IconInc at The Edge is a £15m luxury student accommodation development in the heart of Leeds.
Created and managed by IconInc, part of the Parklane Group, the scheme comprises 131 furnished studio and one bedroom apartments complete with fully fitted kitchens, en suite bathrooms and flat screen TV’s.
Living on the Edge
Seeking inspiration from the boutique hotel market, IconInc at The Edge also includes shared social spaces such as a gym, cinema, games zone and pantry.
Challenging Deadlines
Main Contractor, Tolent Construction commissioned Power On to install an 800kVA incoming power supply for the apartments across the seven storey building as well as the neighbouring retail unit. All work had to be completed within a short two week time frame, which Power On achieved successfully and as a result, was awarded a second student accommodation scheme with the same clients.
- Electricity
We had a good working relationship with Power On throughout the contract, all the deadlines were met and disruption was kept to a minimum. The site team provided regular updates and communication during the programme was great. Power On’s expertise and assistance helped us complete the student accommodation development on time. We will definitely be using Power On again.
